1.Tell us about your favorite writing project/universe that you've worked with and why.

Does FOF count? I know it's a comic, but a good deal of writing goes into it. Other than that, Barrier I guess. But I don't think that's ever going anywhere.

2. How many characters do you have? Do you prefer males or females?

I don't wanna count them. ;A; There's too many, what with all the one shots, continued characters an' random D&D/MMO creations. I try to keep an even balance most times, though I used to work with a lot more guys than chicks.

3. How do you come up with names, for characters (and for places if you're writing about fictional places)?

Usually I check out Behind the Name. That's cool for cultural names. Otherwise, just whatever's around. I think Digan's name came from something off a Wal-Mart recipt.

4. Tell us about one of your first stories/characters!

Um…no? Ugh. I can't remember what was first. It was either the magical kid story with powers based off astrological symbols, or the walking copyright infringement that was known as the Undercover Fangirls.

5. By age, who is your youngest character? Oldest? How about "youngest" and "oldest" in terms of when you created them?

Technically, Cherie's only 2, when she was created. Other than that, it's all bit-parts until Harper an' Cailean, who I think are both like, 15 or so? Oldest…my demony characters prolly. Doll an' Jin come to mind. As far as creation, Oliver is the newest, he'll show up in chapter 6 of FOF. An' oldest would prolly be Karu, who used to have story presence. Not anymore. Thank god.

6. Where are you most comfortable writing? At what time of day? Computer or good ol' pen and paper?

Mostly night, cuz that's when I have a tendency to be awake. Derp. Back at home, I used to fill up notebook after notebook with stories, but mostly I work on computer now. Like Sets said, typing up all that handwritten stuff is lame. Hence why there's not WAY more chapters of FallAway. e_e

7. Do you listen to music while you write? What kind? Are there any songs you like to relate/apply to your characters?

I can't not. There must be music. All kinds. It depends on the mood. For NaNo last year, I listened to like, 600 Silent Hill songs, plus the Repo! Soundtrack an' Coraline. Sometimes I just put my entire collection on shuffle. Pretty much every character I have has their own theme, sometimes more, so it'd be pretty hard to list them all here.

8. What's your favorite genre to write? To read?

Horror, of course. On both counts. If it's good an' scary, I love it. But I'll read pretty much anything fictiony. I love books that manage to tell a story well an' keep a good sense of wit. Sarcastic narrators an' all. I TRY to do that in my own writing, I dunno how successful I am at it though.

9. How do you get ideas for your characters? Describe the process of creating them.

Sometimes I just need a part filled, so I make a character to fit it. They don't get a lot of their quirks until I play them for awhile, like RP or something.

10. What are some really weird situations your characters have been in? Every thing from serious canon scenes to meme questions counts!

Well, there WAS that whole drunk threesome with Kuroe, Zil an' Hollis. An' Clover's life is pretty much 31 flavours of awkward when it comes to choosing friends that also happen to be enemies. An' pretty much everything about Barrier was weird.

11. Who is your favorite character to write? Least favorite?

I love writing Choa an' Hollis. Especially together. Their banter is so much fun. Gabe an' Uri are awesome too. Least favourite…Vepar's hard to write, since she needs to be mean, yet not completely intolerable. Digan's just an ass.

12. In what story did you feel you did the best job of world building? Any side-notes on it you'd like to share?
I'm pretty happy with Waverly as a whole. I got quite a few good description pages in it, which is a weak spot of mine.

13. What's your favorite culture to write, fictional or not?

Y'know, I really don't think of it much. I've got all kinds, an' I pretty much like them equally.

14. How do you map out locations, if needed? Do you have any to show us?

Not really. Actually, I don't even know where FOF takes place. I did have this idea for a roadtrip story once that would've needed a lot of mapping. It also had my cousin in it, who stalked my friend, thinking that he was her father after a drunken one-night-stand with a pineapple. Wonder why THAT one never got far…

15. Mid way question! Tell us about a writer you admire, whether professional or not!

Clive Barker, tops. No matter what. Followed shortly by Poppy Z. Brite, more for her horror stuff in the 90s, but her new stuff's good too. There's a lot of people I admire on a personal level, but I don't wanna risk leaving anyone out. Suffice to say, if I comment on your stories, I pretty much adore your work.

16. Do you write romantic relationships? How do you do with those, and how "far" are you willing to go in your writing?

I try to. Although I'm rather partial to awkwardly romantic characters, so there's a lot of those. As far as how far, I usually can't go all the way. I've tried a few times. Most notably that threesome that I got mostly done with before my netbook ate it. ;A; I can RP some porn though. It's a lot easier with someone writing the other half.

17. Favorite protagonist and why!

They're all mah babbies.

18. Favorite antagonist and why!

Doll~ He's so much fun to be evil with.

19. Favorite minor that decided to shove himself into the spotlight and why!

Fragile. He was supposed to be a quiet little part of Insaneography, an' wasn't even supposed to live past the first season. Then he wound up so cute I couldn't part with him. He also wound up lead in Waverly, then in Keeper OCT.

20. What are your favorite character interactions to write?

Choa an' Hollis. I could write a series based off them alone. Gabe an' Uri too, since they're so tragic around each other. Always good for some angst.

21. Do any of your characters have children? How well do you write them?

I am lame an' all my characters have little family. :I Cailean has kids EVENTUALLY, but they're never shown. Jin knocked a nurse up in Waverly, but that didn't work out well. There was this detective story I tried to write years ago where the guy had a daughter. Can't remember the kid's name though.

22. How long does it usually take you to complete an entire story—from planning to writing to posting (if you post your work)?

Depends on the story! I finished Waverly in a month, with a few edits. Short stories can take a few hours, or a few weeks, depending on my mood an' such. I usually try to post my work.

23. How willing are you to kill your characters if the plot so demands it? What's the most interesting way you've killed someone?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Fragile's a good example there. xD I don't think Waverly counts, since the only people that died were based off stories of the place. I've killed Nikki in a few dream-stories. An' Ashoka 'dies' but I can't say much about that without spoilers. Most interesting is prolly Ashoka's…or else Jimmy's in the OCT, even if he's not MY character.

24. Do any of your characters have pets? Tell us about them.

Clover has a cat named Paprika. I think Cailean an' Fao wound up with a kitten at one point. Fragile has a seven-legged octopus named Ocky.

25. Let's talk art! Do you draw your characters? Do others draw them? Pick one of your OCs and post your favorite picture of him!

Hell yes, I do. Whenever I need inspiration, I doodle something down. I prolly draw more for ideas than I write. But I can't choose favourites, cuz it changes everytime I draw something new.

26. Along similar lines, do appearances play a big role in your stories? Tell us about them, or if not, how you go about designing your characters.

I usually design a character first, before deciding most of the personality. Finding what about the character would make them look an' dress the way they do. It goes through some edits.  Although I'm horrible at depending on my art to describe the characters an' not the story itself. I fail there.

27. Have you ever written a character with physical or mental disabilities? Describe them, and if there's nothing major to speak of, tell us a few smaller ones.

Well…Frag's got some wicked Jekyll/Hyde behavior going on, whether it's real or imaginary. He's also got a few speech impediments. In one of the Barrier drafts, someone winds up losing the use of an arm. It was either Nikki or Chrissy.

28. Final question! Tag some one! And tell us what you like about that person as a writer and/or about one of his/her characters!

:iconryuichifoxe: I adore her characterization. Also writing crazy characters. No one crazies 'em up like mah Ryu!
:iconnevesmose: He's awesome at that 'wit in narration' thing I love so much. An' a master of metaphors.
:iconyami-kayshie: She puts so much thought an' effort into her characters, an' it really shows.

Also :iconadanskabelow: I can't really tag her, since I got this from her, but she's one of the writers I really adore. Her descriptions are spot on for the mood she tries to create, an' she can write banter like a pro. |D
